Quickest Way to Tune Into Your Needs

This past week during class, I introduced the Sway Technique. It uses muscle-testing to directly tap into your body’s energy and wisdom. You can use the Sway Technique for everything from what food to eat to what running shoes to buy.

How Does It Work?

The Sway Technique is a form of muscle testing that uses the natural movement of your body to answer yes or no questions. Our bodies can respond to energy in subtle ways, and in doing so can provide us with valuable information about what supports or stresses us. By tuning into these responses, we can make more informed decisions about our health, wellness, and overall well-being.

How Do I Practice It?

  1. Get Quiet. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself.

  2. Stand in Savasana. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, arms relaxed by your sides, and close your eyes or gaze downwards at one point.

  3. Ask Your Question. Formulate a clear yes or no question. For example, “Is this supplement beneficial for me?” or “Should I meditate today?”

  4. Tune In and Observe. Pay attention to your body’s natural sway, or the subtle movement front to back on the pads of your feet. Typically, a forward sway indicates a “yes” response, while a backward sway indicates a “no” response. It can take time to be able to notice the subtle movement, but stick with it, and trust the process.

Like anything new, muscle testing takes practice. The more you use it, the more confident you’ll become in interpreting your body’s signals.
